So Boffo waited and watched Blippo’s act every night. Boffo studied Blippo’s moves and practiced them for weeks.


Then one day, as Blippo ran onto the circus floor, he tripped and hurt his ankle.


“Boffo!” cried the ringmaster. “It’s time!”


Boffo ran to the center of the ring. He picked up where Blippo left off. He heard children laugh and people clap.
