The Constitution promises things like fairness, freedom, and rules that everybody follows, but some big bumps get in the way. People are often split and stop listening to each other — like kids arguing on the playground. Money can make some voices shout louder than others, and silly or false stories can trick people so they don’t know what’s real.

When folks don’t listen, when money picks winners, or when truths get lost, the game is not fair. Some people have a harder time voting or getting help in court, and that makes the promise of the Constitution harder to keep. It’s like playing a game where the rules are ignored and some players don’t get a turn.

We can help by being good listeners, teaching kids and grown-ups how government works, and checking facts like little detectives. We can make rules so money can’t buy the game, protect everyone’s right to vote, and keep courts working fairly. If we share the playground, play fair, and learn together, the Constitution can more closely live up to its promises.
