I don't see the thermometer image. Could you either upload the picture or describe what the scale and the liquid level look like? (For example: where is the bulb relative to the 0° mark, how many small ticks between major marks, is the level above or below 0° and how many ticks?)

How to read it once you send the image/description:
- Find the 0° (freezing) mark.
- Count ticks from 0 to the liquid level. Note how many ticks are between major numbered marks (each small tick is usually 1° or 2°).
- If the level is below 0 count negative; if above count positive.
If the level is 8 small ticks below 0 the answer is −8°C; if it's 25 ticks above a lower major mark it's 25°C, etc.
