Question

At 10:00 AM, a car leaves a house at a rate of 60 mi/h.At the same time, another car leaves the smae house at a rate of 50 mi/h in the opposite direction. At what time will the cars be 330 miles apart?

I tried to make a equation, 50h+60h=330. I divided 330 by 110. so, I got h=3. Is this right?

Your answer looks OK, but you might want to redo your equation:
50h + 60h = 330. It has no meaning.
