Can you please check the following sentences? I really hope you can have a look at them.
1) The King of Sicily gave a jeweller some gold and asked him to make a crown from it. In order to make sere the jeweller used only gold (?), the king went to ask Archimedes for help.
2) Archimedes needed to know both the weight and the volume of the crown.
3) One day he got into a bath full of water and he discovered that the same amount of water had poured out (?) as the volume of hi own body.
4) As he knew the weight of the gold crown he was able to establish its volume by measuring the water that poured out.
5) He discovered that the crown wasn't pure gold. The jeweller had been a thief.
6) If you put a peeled orange into water, it will sink to its bottom.
7) If you put a ketchup packet into a bottle full of water and then you put the top on the bottle, the packet will float. However, if you squeeze the bottle, the packet will sink.
8) Do you say to "make notes" or take notes" if you write down what your teacher explains to you?

3. comma after "water" (1st instance); "poured out" is not the right phrasing, so I'll ask a science person what would be correct; "his"
