Thanks, Farmer — great advice! I’ll plan to feed the pups half a cup of the Dr. Kibble crunchy edition twice a day for now and transition to 1 cup twice daily by six months.
A couple quick questions:
- Should I use the puppy formula specifically, or is the regular Dr. Kibble okay?
- Any concerns about “ham” flavored kibble (salt/cured-meat ingredients)? Should I stick to turkey or beef instead?
- How quickly should I increase the amount when switching (over a few days)?
- Do you recommend weighing them or using a body-condition score to decide if portion changes are needed?
Appreciate the help — they’re so excited to visit the countryside soon!
