Baseball Pitcher Nolan set the record for the most career strikeouts- 5.714. If you were to report the typical number of strikeouts for major league pitchers, do you think it would be more accurate to use the median or the mean number strikeouts? Why?

Do you believe the distribution would be normal or skewed? If it is normal, it doesn't make a difference. If skewed, the mean is most influenced by deviant scores, so the median is a better indicator of central tendency.
