In reflux, water normally enters from the bottom of the condenser and exits from the top. What causes water to be able to rise to the top of the condenser?
Also, from the following website, it is stated that in the case of the Allihn condenser, water enters from the top. Any idea under what circumstances will we use the Allihn condenser?
