In a salon, there are many features; just as a school has many pillars for growth. At Cascade Christian, students look up to four pillars: Spiritual Formation—the most important for a Christian's journey with God; Personal Character Development, encouraging growth in every student's character; Academic Excellence, reflecting the school’s importance on academics; and Leadership Development, ensuring every student learns to be a good leader. From the very beginning of my salon I offer the massage, delicately kneading and encouraging spiritual growth; next, I’ll complete the lashes, each attachment developing my personality; and onto the nails, the academics favorite, and finally finishing off with a haircut, as I snip every strand, I notice the way it symbolizes leadership in the meticulous procedure; with every service of this salon, my life is further developed.

The massage nurtures my walk with God, the lashes refine my character, the nails sharpen my dedication to excellence, and the haircut hones my ability to lead with care and precision. In serving others through these small, intentional acts, I am continually shaped into a more faithful, upright, knowledgeable, and courageous person. Just as the school’s pillars guide students toward maturity, my salon routines guide me forward—one appointment, one lesson, and one step closer to the person I am called to become.
