How do i show work for this math question. A puppet requires 3/4 yard of material. How many puppets can be made from 9 yards of material?

9 / (3/4) = (9/1) * (4/3) = 36/3 = ?

(3/4) yard * number of yards = number of puppets
(3/4) * 9 = n
n = 27/4 = 6 3/4
since it is not helpful to make 3/4 of a puppet, 6 is all you will get.
