the specific heat capacity of seawater is 3900 j/kg degrees celcius. how much energy is needed to heat 500g of seawater from 20 degrees celcius to 90 degrees celcius?
if not i need to know how to work it out

energy=mass*specificheat*changeintemp
= .5kg*3900j/kgC*(90-20)C
