Grant proposals alone won't fund anything. The proposals must actually be approved and funded!

Grants are of two general types -- those funded by private individuals/organizations, and those funded by the government (taxes). If you go to www.google.com and enter GRANT INFORMATION, you'll see all kinds of sources.
