At Mr.Vid's Video Rentals you can join his VId Club for a monthly membership fee pf $30. Club members pay only $.85 to rent each movie. If you are not a member of the VID club, the movies rent for $2.25 each.How many videos would you have to rent each month to make a membership worth the investment?

costmembers=30+.85N
costnonmembers=2.25N
set the costs equal, and solve for N

I don't understand your answer, please explain more.

30+.85n=2.25n
I'm sure you know how to solve equations..

hey....i don't understand the question either....ii have two formulas too
Answered by alex
What are your formulas?
Answered by Katherine
30= 2.25x
x=13 movies
so i did 2.25 times 13 movies gave me about 29.25...if i did 14 movies than it will give me 31.50....i think its 13
Answered by alex
Hmm that sounds right , But mr fuchs said that the equation was y=30 * 2.25x , So i don't know , This is confusing :/
Answered by Katherine
lol...i agree 2...but if y=30*2.25x ....we know what x is but then what is y....877.5 have to do with anything...i did 2.25*13*30=877.5..

mhm its just a list of what the price is if you multiply the membership price and the regular price then by 10, 20, and then you had to multiply by 22 i think
Answered by alex
A list? but what has to go in the list?

well jst keep on for da club members,.. 30 + .85 times12 movies, then 3 then 4 then 5 and so on ,.. a bunch of times then while doin dat ,.. u do non-club members 2.25 times 2 movies 3,4 ,5,6, and so on,.. go on until the membership total of its fee nd movies is less than the non club members cost inthe end of buyin a certain amount of movies

Answered by alex
