The business I have in mind would be Ulta Beauty. I go there frequently for my face wash and hair products. What I've noticed while shopping here is their management style is more free-rein. Most employees are just walking around and talking with one another, while only one person is available at the register. The decisions overall seem to be left up to the employees. Personally, I would lead with a more mild-scale democratic style of leadership. This would provide more authority while maintaining employee collaboration. I would like to implement more effort toward professionalism, sales, and customer care. Instead of yelling across the store if a customer needs help finding something, I would inspire my employees to be more creative and actively involved with the customer’s shopping experience. My personal experience shopping in Ulta is that there are too many varieties of the same product, and it can be intimidating. That is where the employees could step in and guide customers like myself in the right direction.
