Interview with Anne Frank

Who Will I Ask? Protagonist: Anne Frank

What Will I Ask?

1. In 2-3 sentences, tell me about yourself.
What Would They Say?
"I am Anne Frank, a thirteen-year-old Jewish girl living in Amsterdam during World War II. I found solace and a voice in writing, especially in my diary, where I express my hopes, fears, and dreams amidst the turmoil of hiding from the Nazis."

2. What was your climax, when you had to make a decision, or you reached a turning point?
What Would They Say?
"The climax of my story was the moment when we were discovered while in hiding. It was a moment of sheer terror and despair, but it also solidified my resolve to continue writing—this was my way to reflect on my experiences and preserve my voice, no matter the outcome."

3. Would you describe yourself as static or dynamic? Why?
What Would They Say?
"I would say I am dynamic. Throughout my time in hiding, I have undergone significant changes in my perspective on life, love, and identity. The experiences I faced forced me to mature quickly, and my writing has evolved as my understanding of the world deepened."

4. How did the setting of the story affect you?
What Would They Say?
"The setting profoundly affected me, as the secret annex turned from a safe haven into a confined prison. It was both a place of refuge and an ever-present reminder of the outside world's danger. Living in such isolation shaped my thoughts and my writing, pushing me to confront my feelings of fear and hope."
