While under house arrest, Paul continued to preach about the Kingdom of God to everyone who visited him, despite his restricted circumstances (Acts 28:31). This serves as an encouragement for our brothers and sisters who are housebound due to age, illness, or other challenges. Their love for God and desire to witness remains strong. We pray that they find opportunities to share the good news with those who are eager to learn about God's purposes.
What did Paul do while under house arrest, and of what encouragement can this be to some of our brothers and sisters
The book of Acts ends with Paul zealously “preaching the Kingdom of God.” (Acts 28:31) Because he was under house arrest, he was not free to witness from house to house in Rome. Nevertheless, he kept on witnessing to all who came to him. Today, some of our dear brothers and sisters are housebound, perhaps bedfast, or are living in nursing homes because of advanced age, illness, or infirmity. Yet, their love for God and their desire to bear witness are as strong as ever. We pray for them and can well ask that our heavenly Father bring them in touch with those yearning to learn about him and his wonderful purposes.
