Aim:
To investigate the antimicrobial effects of different fruit extracts on bacterial growth using a controlled laboratory setup.
Objectives:
- To prepare a sterile environment and eliminate potential contaminants before conducting the experiment.
- To apply fruit extract samples (strawberry, citrus lemon, and green apple) and controls (chloramphenicol and distilled water) on designated segments of a petri dish using appropriate sterile techniques.
- To observe and measure the zones of inhibition around each sample over a 72-hour period to assess the antimicrobial activity of the fruit extracts.
