Jesus chose to serve Jehovah for several key reasons:
- Love: He has a deep affection for his Father (John 14:31).
- Moral Duty: Serving Jehovah is the right thing to do (John 8:28, 29).
- Trust in Jehovah: He recognizes Jehovah as the Source of life and trustworthy (Ps. 33:4; 36:9; Jas. 1:17).
- Truthfulness: Jehovah has always spoken the truth to Him and provided for Him (John 1:14).
- Contrast with Satan: Jesus rejected the idea of rebelling against Jehovah, knowing Satan is deceitful and harmful (John 8:44).
- Future Accomplishments: He looked forward to the positive impact of his loyal service, including sanctifying Jehovah’s name and undoing suffering (Heb. 12:2).
