Chinquapin Feast

In the woods where the tall trees sway,
Chinquapin nuts come out to play.
Brown and shiny, with a little cap,
I find them hidden where the squirrels nap.

Crunchy and tasty, oh what a treat,
A yummy snack that's fun to eat!
Roasted golden, sweet and warm,
Chinquapin nuts are a tasty charm.

We can gather them with friends and cheer,
Making fun memories each autumn here.
Pies and cookies, oh what a wish!
Chinquapin flavor in every dish!

So let’s celebrate this nut so fine,
Gather 'round, it's feast time!
With laughter and joy, we'll all agree,
Chinquapin nuts are the best, whee!
