After listening to Linda Chen and Dave MacAllister, I find myself leaning more towards Linda's perspective. She takes into account the needs of the entire country, not just Alberta. While it's important to address the issues in Alberta, what's best for all Canadians should come first. A good example of this is when Pierre Trudeau worked to stabilize oil prices. He prioritized Alberta’s resources to benefit Canadians across the country. So, even though Dave MacAllister makes some valid points, I feel more convinced by Linda Chen's argument.
After listening to Linda Chen and Dave MacAllister, I think I agree more with Linda. This is because she considers the needs of the whole country, not just the province of Albert. Although Alberta's concerns should be looked into, it is more important to do that is best for Canadians everywhere. For example, we can look at Pierre Trudeau stabilizing oil prices. He took advantage of Alberta for the sake of the rest of Canadian citizens all over the country. For these reasons, although Dave MacAllister brings an extremely valid point, I agree more with Linda Chen's view.
