Question
In a 5-6 sentence paragraph, please turn this interview (responses specifically) into an exit interview paragraph.
"Let’s start with something interesting: Did you know reflecting on your work can actually help you remember and use what you learned? For our first question—what English 9B lesson are you currently on, and what is your current grade in the class?
JO
I am on the Sample Work for Unit 7 Lesson 13. I am quite behind, but I plan to catch up tomorrow. My grade at the moment is a D, due to temporary zeros.
Thank you for sharing honestly! Catching up is a solid plan, and temporary zeros can definitely be fixed with effort. Now, thinking back over the semester: Which assignment or project are you most proud of completing, and why does it stand out to you?
JO
I am most proud of completing my Research and Presentation portfolio. It's the portfolio I believe I worked the hardest on in English this semester.
I wish there were more opportunities for group work, such as working on an assignment (discussion, sample work, etc...) with classmates for all of my classes, but especially Biology and History, as those are the hardest in my opinion.
I am not a visual learner as much as I am a tactile and reading/writing learner, which means I occasionally struggle with certain things pretaining to graphs in Algebra and Biology.
I have considered my options carefully. I intend to pursue nursing and biomedical engineering, and possibly even attending Kansas Art Institute as well.
Analyzing texts have certainly helped me most out of everything in this semester, as it's an extremely useful and every-day skill that can be used in every-day life. I can apply this skill to other courses and classes as well, no matter what grade I'm in and what course I'm taking.
One goal I set for myself after high school graduation is to get into med-school and successfully pursue my dreams of becoming a registered nurse, possibly even anesthesiologist."
1. Reflect on your favorite and least favorite parts or assignments of the course
2. Share suggestions for how to improve English 9B
3. Answer: What I wish I’d known as an incoming KCA (Kansas Connections Academy) student
4. Dig Deep into what concerns you have about high school/or life after graduation
5. Celebrate what parts of life you look forward to in high school/or life after graduation

In reflecting on my time in English 9B, I found that my favorite assignment was the Research and Presentation portfolio, as it represented my hardest work and provided a sense of accomplishment. However, I struggled with certain aspects of the course, particularly related to visual learning, which highlighted the need for more opportunities for group work, especially in challenging subjects like Biology and History. If I could suggest improvements for English 9B, incorporating more collaborative projects could enhance understanding and engagement among students. As an incoming KCA student, I wish I had known the importance of analyzing texts earlier, as it's a valuable skill that transcends just English and can be applied across various subjects. My main concern looking ahead to high school and life after graduation is the pressure of pursuing my goals in nursing and biomedical engineering, but I am excited about the journey and look forward to the opportunities that await me. Ultimately, I celebrate my aspirations of entering med school and becoming a registered nurse, ideally as an anesthesiologist, as I continue to grow and learn in the years to come.
