Morning Devotion: Psalms 91:1-16

Scripture Reading: Psalms 91:1-16 (NKJV)

  1. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

    • Prayer Point: Lord, help us to seek Your presence daily and dwell in Your secret place. May we find comfort and refuge in You.

  2. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in Him I will trust.”

    • Prayer Point: Heavenly Father, strengthen our faith in You. Teach us to trust You fully in every situation we face.

  3. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.

    • Prayer Point: God, protect us from unseen dangers and evils that threaten us. Deliver us from every trap set for us.

  4. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

    • Prayer Point: Lord, cover us with Your love and protection. May we find peace and refuge in Your support and truth.

  5. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,

    • Prayer Point: Father, remove all fear and anxiety from our hearts. Teach us to trust in Your protection both day and night.

  6. Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

    • Prayer Point: We declare Your protection over our lives and our families. Shield us from all forms of harm, both seen and unseen.

  7. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.

    • Prayer Point: Thank You, Lord, for Your promise of protection. We claim Your divine safety over our lives, even amidst chaos.

  8. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked.

    • Prayer Point: Open our eyes, Lord, to witness Your justice and favor. May we stand firm in our faith as we observe Your ways.

  9. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place,

    • Prayer Point: Help us, Lord, to prioritize our relationship with You. May You be our ultimate refuge and source of strength.

  10. No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

  • Prayer Point: In faith, we declare that no evil will come near our homes. Surround us with Your protection and peace.
  1. For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
  • Prayer Point: Thank You for Your angels, Lord. We pray for their protection and guidance in our daily lives.
  1. In their hands, they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
  • Prayer Point: Lord, help us to walk wisely and safely in Your ways, uplifted and supported by Your divine protection.
  1. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
  • Prayer Point: Empower us, Lord, to overcome challenges and adversities in our lives. Help us to defeat every obstacle that stands in our way.
  1. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
  • Prayer Point: Lord, may our love and devotion to You deepen. Help us to know You intimately and to experience Your deliverance.
  1. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
  • Prayer Point: Thank You for Your promise to be with us in times of trouble. Teach us to call on You without hesitation.
  1. With long life, I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.”
  • Prayer Point: Lord, grant us longevity and fulfill our days with joy. Show us Your salvation and help us to live in abundance.

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day and for Your everlasting promises. Teach us to trust in You wholeheartedly and to seek refuge in Your presence. May our lives be a testament to Your goodness and faithfulness. Amen.
