If I were an immigrant coming to America in the late 1800s, I would have faced a lot of challenges. First, the journey across the ocean would be really tough and long. Many people got sick on the crowded ships, and some didn’t even survive. Once I arrived, I would have to deal with language barriers because I might not speak English very well. Finding a job would be hard too, since many Americans didn't want immigrants taking their jobs. Plus, I might face discrimination and not be accepted by the community because of my background. It would definitely be a difficult time trying to build a new life.
