then:
8(-6/24y)-3y=-6
(-6y/3)-3y=-6
(-6y-9y)/3=-6
-3y/3=-6
y=6

then:
8x-3*6=-6
8x-18=-6
8x=-6+18
8x=12
x=12/8=3/2

so: X=3/2, Y=6
