Additionally, supporters could argue that influencers who share their struggles and successes might help destigmatize issues such as anxiety or body image concerns.

However, while these points have merit, they overlook the broader implications of influencer culture. First, the curated nature of social media can create unrealistic standards that are difficult for young people to achieve, exacerbating issues like low self-esteem and anxiety. Many influencers often promote a lifestyle that is unattainable for the average individual, leading to feelings of inadequacy among their followers.
