Asked by Ida T.

Bret and Barbara found out that for a given charity, a family whose income is $30,000 gave $400 and a family whose income is $300,000 gave $4,000. Bret says that
the family with the higher income gave more than the family with the lower income in proportion to its earnings. Barbara disagrees. Who is correct and why?
