The U.S. involvement in the Korean War had both positive and negative effects. On the plus side, it helped stop the spread of communism in Asia and showed that the U.S. was committed to defending its allies. This support boosted the confidence of other nations and helped create the United Nations as a place for countries to work together. However, the war also resulted in a lot of loss of life and money, and it failed to fully unite Korea, leaving it divided to this day. In my opinion, the benefits of stopping communism and protecting freedom in South Korea outweigh the hardships because it helped shape the international relations we see today.
