x + 0.5x = 1725
1.5x = 1725
x = 1725/1.5
x = ?
1.5x = 1725
x = 1725/1.5
x = ?

Ms.Sue is right but math doesn't have one way to calculate something so here how I did my , and I got the same result with Ms. Sue .
2.2m+500=2800
2m=2300
M=2300/2 ( 2300 divided by 2 )
M= 1150
