Write a miserable, terrible, sad, bitterly hopeful poem that is sure to make anyone cry

Echoes of Tomorrow

In a house where shadows linger,
Dust dances on the floor,
Each corner whispers secrets,
Of laughter heard no more.

The windows frame the twilight,
Where dreams once soared like birds,
Now silence fills the spaces,
With echoes of lost words.

The chair you sat in wears your weight,
Though no one takes a seat,
And every clock that ticks away,
Feels like a cruel heartbeat.

I hold your favorite sweater,
Its fabric frays with time,
Each thread a fragmented memory,
A heartache wrapped in rhyme.

The photographs grow dimmer,
Their colors fade to gray,
Smiling faces haunt the halls,
Where light has slipped away.

Hope flickers like a candle,
In a storm of endless night,
A whisper in the darkness,
That tomorrow holds some light.

But what is hope in shadows?
A promise drenched in pain,
A dream you chase through meadows
Where wildflowers bloom in vain.

The stars that once were brightened,
Now shimmer through my tears,
Each wish a silent witness
To the weight of all my fears.

Yet still I cradle fragments,
Of what we used to know,
A bittersweet reminder
Of love that was, though slow.

So I’ll weave my threads of sorrow,
With strands of faded cheer,
In the tapestry of longing,
Each stitch a sigh, each tear.

Perhaps, if I hold on tight,
To what’s left of our song,
I’ll find you in the silence,
And in the ache, belong.
