if a^2 + b^2 = c^2 *equation for right triangles
and c in your case is 32 meters and because the obj. is a squared the sides are equal to each other
therefore:
2x^2 = 32^2
x = side of square
AREA= x^2
therefore :
x^2 = (32^2) / 2
