The job I’d like to have one day is a Marketing Manager for a cool tech company. If I were the hiring manager, one unique interview question I’d ask is, “If you could rebrand any product in the world, which would it be and how would you do it?” I think this question is great because it shows how creative a person can be and gives them a chance to think outside the box. It also helps me see their understanding of marketing principles and how they approach problem-solving.
For a filter question on the application, I would use, “Describe a time when you had to convince someone to try something new. What was your approach?” This question is excellent because it helps me gauge their communication skills and ability to persuade others—something super important in marketing. Plus, it can show how much experience they have in similar situations, even if it’s outside a professional setting.
