make sure you follow the order of operations
4 + 3(10 - 2^3)
= 4 + 3(10 - 8)
= 4 + 3(2)
= 4 + 6
= 10

how did you get 11 ??
lets just say exponents hate me.....a lot....and that somehow my calc said 9 and not 8 so thank you greatly.......
You probably did 3^2 instead of 2^3
--- neither one of which requires a calculator
