is sqrt[3] supposed to mean "cube root" ?

What is supposed to happen here ?

If I read your notation right, you have

-3x/√3 54x^4 + 2/√3 16x^7

Seems kind of odd, so maybe it's wrong.

-3x∛(54x^4) + 2∛(16x^7)
note that
∛27x^3 = 3x
∛8x^6 = 2x^2
