My Uncle Rob was always around, but he was not very lively. He showed up for all the family events and celebrations, but he would typically sit in the back. When I was young, I was even a little afraid of this mysterious man. He wore strange clothes that looked like they were from a different time period. His smirks rarely turned into full smiles. And when he walked, he kept his head down. Although I thought he was odd, when I started getting to know him, I realized that he was just different, like me. He was patient, not too talkative, and liked to spend his time taking in his surroundings. Understanding who he was helped me be comfortable with myself. Now I want to be just like him.
