Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh (May peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you). My name is Mohammod Islam, and today I want to talk to you about something very important: forgiveness in Islam.
Forgiveness means letting go of anger or hurt when someone does something wrong to you. It is very important in Islam because Allah, our Creator, loves those who forgive others. When we forgive, it makes our hearts lighter and brings us closer to Allah.
In the Quran, Allah tells us in Surah Al-Imran, Ayah 134 that Allah loves those who are patient and forgiving. This means when someone makes a mistake, instead of staying angry, we should try to forgive them. It is a sign of strength and kindness.
Let's think about what can happen when we hold onto anger. When we are angry with someone, we may avoid them, and this can make us feel lonely and sad. But when we choose to forgive, it opens the door for friendship again. We can share laughter, fun, and happy memories together. Just like in the story of the Prophet Yusuf (Joseph), who forgave his brothers even when they hurt him deeply. He showed us the way to be brave and to always forgive.
There is a beautiful Hadith (saying of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) where he said: "The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are the most forgiving." This tells us how important forgiveness is. The more we forgive, the more we are loved by Allah. And that is a wonderful thing to remember.
Imagine if you and your friend had a fight over a toy. If you both keep being upset, no one enjoys playing. But if one of you says, "Let's be friends again," the fun can start all over! When we forgive, we not only help ourselves, but we also help others feel better too.
Now, sometimes it can be hard to forgive. Maybe someone said something mean or took something from us. But remember, forgiving doesn't mean that what they did was okay. It just means we are choosing to let go of the hurt and choose happiness instead. Allah is always there to help us, and when we ask Him for strength, He will always help us find it.
So, my dear friends, as you grow and learn, remember that forgiveness is a powerful gift we can give to others and ourselves. Let's practice forgiving our friends, our family, and even those we don’t know. Let's create a world filled with peace and love.
Thank you so much for listening. May Allah guide all of us to be more forgiving.
JazakAllah khair (thank you) for listening. Wa Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
