Personification is when you make something that isn’t alive act like it is! It’s like giving a toy or a tree feelings and actions. For example, if I say, "The wind whispered secrets through the trees," I'm making the wind talk like a person.

Here’s my own example: "The sun smiled down on the children playing in the park." That means the sun is acting like it’s happy and nice, just like a person!
