As Captain Black Beard slammed the tip of his knife onto the map affixed to the table, he declared, “This is where we attack!”
“Aye, aye, captain!” First Mate Raylan replied eagerly, gathering his gun and sword.
The pirates were poised to invade a small village nestled on a tiny island, surrounded on three sides by towering mountains that provided the inhabitants with a false sense of security. Despite its size, this village was rich from the plantations, and the pirates knew precisely where to strike with pinpoint accuracy.
“Load your cannons, load your guns, ready your swords—ATTACK!” shouted First Mate Raylan as he charged ahead with the entire crew.
Once the villagers realized they were under attack, the pirates were greeted by screams that echoed from all directions. The pirates reveled in the sound of fear, for it meant they were fulfilling their grim duties. They seized every gold coin, silver ingot, and piece of jewelry they could find before retreating to The Black Betty to present their bounty to the captain.
As The Black Betty set sail, the crew reported to Captain Black Beard that only a few lives had been lost. The raid had been a resounding success, and the crew erupted in cheers.
“Shiver me timbers! Enemy ship up ahead!” bellowed First Mate Raylan. Captain Black Beard swiftly turned to gaze at the approaching vessel and commanded, “Prepare yourselves for battle, men!”
As the ships lined up for confrontation, chaos erupted. Cannons roared, harpoons were launched, and pirates swung onto their opponents’ ship, while captains engaged in fierce sword fights to the death. Amidst the chaos, the cries of the fallen filled the air. Just when it seemed all hope was lost, a shout pierced through the tumult: “The enemy captain is dead!”
The pirates could scarcely believe their ears—Captain Black Beard had triumphed once more.
After recruiting the surviving crew of the enemy ship, the pirates of The Black Betty set sail alongside their new allies, ready for whatever adventures awaited them next.
