I understand why my friend thinks plastic is the worst thing ever. It does create a lot of pollution, especially in the oceans, where animals can get hurt by it. However, plastic has also helped us in many ways, like making our lives easier with things like water bottles and safe medical equipment. Without plastic, we wouldn’t have things like helmets for biking or containers to keep our food fresh. So, while plastic definitely causes problems, it also has some pretty important benefits that we can't ignore.
