If a vehicle gets 16 MPG and gas costs $2.70/gallon. How much would it cost to drive the vehicle 30 miles?
Can someone help me find a formula to figure this out?

You don't really need a formula here, just think it through
I will take 30/16 or 1.875 g to go the 30 miles
at $2.70/g the cost would be
$2.70(1.875) or $5.06

I divided 30 by 16 and got 1.875
I multiplied 1.875 by 2.70 and got 5.0625 or about $5.63. I am not a math teacher though
