convert stimuli into electrical
implses.
B) Electrical impulses within the nerve pathways trigger an awareness of stimuli in the sensory receptors

Think of what stimuli are - external factors that have an effect on the body. The receptors 'feel' the stimuli. Read A again - what are chemicals, light, and pressure? Can they convert stimuli? Read B again - can receptors become aware of stimuli?

Receptors are responsible for transduction, converting stimuli to electrical impulses, e.g., rods and cones in the eye.
