One of the tests for Outlier is anything greater or smaller than 1.5 IQR.
Why is 1.5 chosen to be the benchmark, instead of 2 or 1 IQR?

John Tukey supposedly said when interviewed that 1.5 was used "because 1 is too small and 2 is too large."
