a total of eight pills are on a table. all have the same color and size. however, one is poisonous and weighs a fraction more than the others. a balance scale may be used only two times to determine the heavier pill. seven of the pills must be eaten.

What's your question? All you would do is weigh each one and write down the weights. The heaviest one would not get eaten and the others would.

um, your right, you didn't understand the question. first off, its a balance scale, which doesn't tell you the weights, and secondly, you can only use the scale 2 times, not seven.
