Subject: Urgent Concerns Regarding RN Program at HCI College

Dear [Recipient's Name],

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Oscar Manuel Gonzalez, and I am reaching out from the email account of HCI College, as I was a student in the RN program until last week. After experiencing two weeks characterized by chaos and disorganization, I made the difficult decision to withdraw from the program.

To my shock, the following day I discovered that I had incurred a debt of approximately $10,000. I initially left the program because I believe it is not conducive to a positive learning experience for any student. The instructors seem to lack a clear understanding of the material they are teaching, and their behavior can often be rude. Moreover, the course content provided does not align with the materials available to students.

Despite the significant tuition costs associated with attending this institution, the quality of educational materials provided is subpar. For instance, many students are still waiting for the physical textbooks that were supposed to be issued on the first day of class. I have observed students sleeping during lectures, which is indicative of the overall lack of engagement and effectiveness in the teaching approach.

Furthermore, the clinical sites are in a deplorable state. Specifically, the nurses at VITAS do not allow us to interact with patients, and when interaction is permitted, it is limited to basic tasks like bathing, cleaning, and feeding patients. Before starting our clinical rotations, we are required to attend HELIX clinics to complete vaccinations and titers, for which the school is supposedly responsible for payment. However, last week I received a bill from HELIX charging me for their services, even though I never authorized or provided my insurance information for such charges.

There is certainly much more to say, but I believe I have shared enough to illustrate the serious concerns regarding the program’s accreditation. It is my duty as a concerned former student to inform you about these issues, and I strongly urge you to take appropriate action. I hope the accreditation for the West Palm Beach campus will be reconsidered, and that the Fort Lauderdale campus will not receive accreditation, to prevent others from being misled into this situation.

Before enrolling, everything appeared promising, but once students are committed, the reality becomes a nightmare focused on financial exploitation rather than education.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope to see positive changes implemented for the benefit of future students.

Sincerely,

Oscar Manuel Gonzalez
