Subject: Urgent Concerns Regarding HCI College RN Program
Dear [Recipient's Name],
Good morning. My name is Oscar Manuel Gonzalez, and I am writing to you from my email associated with HCI College. Until last week, I was a student in the RN program at this institution. After enduring two weeks of chaos and disorganization, I decided to resign from the program. The following day, I was shocked to discover a debt of approximately $10,000.
I left the program due to my belief that it is not suitable for any student. The instructors appear to lack a clear understanding of the subject matter, and their behavior has been unprofessional and rude. Furthermore, the content being taught in class does not align with what is presented in the students' materials. Despite paying a substantial fee to attend this college, the quality of the educational resources provided is alarmingly poor. For instance, many students are still waiting for a physical textbook that should have been distributed on the first day of classes.
Additionally, it has been concerning to witness students sleeping during lectures, which is indicative of the overall lack of engagement. The clinical sites are equally alarming; experiences at VITAS have revealed that nurses do not permit students to interact with patients, and if they do, it is only for basic tasks such as bathing or feeding.
Before starting our clinical rotations, we are required to visit HELIX clinics to complete vaccinations and titers, which the school supposedly covers. However, last week I received a bill from HELIX charging me for their services, despite the fact that I never authorized this charge or provided my insurance information for billing purposes.
There are many more issues I could elaborate on, but I believe I have provided sufficient detail to underscore the severe problems at HCI College. I urge you to take this matter seriously and consider revoking the accreditation for the West Palm Beach campus. Furthermore, I implore you not to grant accreditation to the Fort Lauderdale campus, as it is unjust for prospective students to be misled in this way.
Before signing any enrollment documents, the institution presents itself as exemplary, but once students are committed, the reality transforms into an overwhelming nightmare designed to exploit financial resources while treating attendees poorly, reminiscent of a "veterinary program" rather than a nursing education.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I hope to see necessary actions taken for the benefit of future students.
Sincerely,
Oscar Manuel Gonzalez
