I want to start by acknowledging the unique journey we are all on. Each of us is here because we care deeply about education and the opportunities it provides. We understand, perhaps better than anyone, that change is the only constant in our lives. For our students sitting in front of me, I recognize that you may be grappling with new experiences every day. Whether you’re navigating high school, preparing for college, or pondering your future career paths, know that change can be your greatest ally. It is in these moments of challenge that you will discover your strength, creativity, and resilience. Embrace the unknown; it is in these spaces that you’ll learn the most about yourselves.
To the parents here tonight, your voices, concerns, and dreams carry immeasurable weight. You want what is best for your children, and I encourage you to find ways to engage with them in this journey. Ask them about their interests, their fears, and their aspirations. Create an open dialogue at home. Let them know that it’s okay to stumble, to fail, and to rise again.
