well, A can point in the +x,+y direction, or +x,-y direction.

The angle between A and the x axis will be

theta=arccos 26/55

and Ay= +-55sinTheta

Henry
(26)^2 + Y^2 = (55)^2
676 + Y^2 = 3025
Y^2 = 3025 - 676 = 2349,
Y = +- 48.47.
