For elementary or middle school students around the United States, do they learn about the events of 9/11 in the later grades?

That depends entirely upon the school system and its curriculum. But I think that most children over 8 or so know something about 9/11,

Anyways, I like the annual "Tribute in Light" tradition in New York City every September 11th. Makes me sad and a little teary. Do you agree, Ms. Sue?

in my past school years, i learned about it in 6th grade. that's when it hit me hard. it all depends upon your state laws and regulations for student requirements.
