I need some help with picking out adjectives and adverbs in these movie review examples.

'Toy Story 3': Alternately affecting, hilarious and heartbreaking and the most original prison-escape movie ever made.
A worthy finale to a fantastic franchise.
It's sadder and scarier than its predecessors, but it also may be the most important chapter in the tale.

I get so confused with adjectives and adverbs... I know that adverbs describe verbs and adjectives describe nouns but when words like "a" I don't understand....
