Is this the way the question looks?

If you believe that the universe is geocentric, you would believe that the ________________ is the center of the universe.

What do you think goes in the blank?

Answered by ant
yes it is ms .sue and i said sun
Answered by Ms. Sue
If earth wasn't a choice, then "sun" is probably the answer.

Would it not be called "heliocentric" then?
Answered by ant
you know what E.G. i had that and my teacher told me it was the sun
Answered by Ms. Sue
Heliocentric means sun-centered.

The way the question is worded, sun is the only choice.

Please forgive me, I don't mean to be impertinent, but this is bothering me.
A geocentric universe has the EARTH at its center NOT the sun.
If the sun were the center, it would be called a heliocentric universe, not a geocentric one.

Could I have misunderstood the question?
Answered by Ms. Sue
I agree -- it should be a heliocentric universe if the sun is the center.

However, since the question states it's a geocentric universe and "sun" is the answer, I assume that our sun is considered the center of any earth-related universe.
