Heads Up: New Policy - Assignment Submissions **Effective January 2025 All essays and written assignments for this class must be created using the Google Docs associated with your school Google account. For help logging into your Google account, click HERE. You may not write the assignment in any other platform (including Microsoft Word) and copy it into the Google Doc. Any assignment that does not follow this protocol will be given a 0 and reported as an Academic Integrity violation. To submit your assignment, you must choose “Anyone with the link can edit,” then copy the link provided and paste it into the assignment box in Connexus. Please view these instructions HERE New Policy - Portfolios **Effective January 2025 This course has five portfolios. Students are expected to complete all assignments, including all five portfolios. Students completing all five portfolios, with integrity, will have the lowest portfolio grade dropped at the end of the semester, after submissions have closed. Students that have NOT completed all portfolios with integrity, will NOT have the lowest portfolio grade dropped. To ‘complete with integrity’ students must have submitted a fully developed response. It also means that no portfolio can be found to have Academic Integrity issues. New Policy - Portfolio Extra Credit **Effective January 2025 Students are encouraged to complete Extra Credit Portfolio Revisions with every Portfolio. Revising is a part of the writing process and is an invaluable tool for showing mastery of concepts. This semester, students will be required to watch an interactive video to assist with the revising process to ensure the best possible revision is completed. To earn Extra Credit via revisions, students will be provided a video in the next unit and the revision will be due at the end of that next unit. For example, the U3L12 Portfolio Extra Credit Revisions will be due at the end of Unit 4. This new approach will help students from being overwhelmed at the end of the semester. Spring semester does not have a grace period such as Winter break. Thus, it is imperative students stay up to date on all assignment, such as Extra Credit. No other Portfolio Extra Credit will be offered this semester.
